A student of Celtic at Harvard might have a primary interest in literature, history, lisguistics, or folklore, but the department encourages an approach that explores all of these approaches to the study of the Celtic-speaking peoples and their cultures.

The department offers instruction and opportunities for research in a graduate program leading to the PhD and as an undergraduate secondary field.
